Welcome to Beno.
Our team wrote this guide to help you get started. Please scroll it down to start.
Note: While we always monitor new projects in the first week, the best way to get results is to let us know if something isn't working, doesn't make sense, or you're just not sure about the setup.
Beno is a flexible tool — most things can be tuned or fixed with a quick adjustment. If anything feels off, don't hesitate to ask. We're here and always happy to help.
Thanks for joining!
Reddit is one of the most powerful channels for organic growth — but it's not plug-and-play. The key to real results is proper setup.
Beno is already finding discussions and writing comments for you. Now let's make sure everything is configured correctly so you get the most value.
Step 1. Check Your Setup
1. Check your project name
This is how Beno mentions your product in comments — and how people will search for you on Google.
Why this matters: When someone reads your comment on Reddit and searches for your product, your website should be the #1 result.
Not sure if your name is right? Search it on Google right now. If your website isn't on the first page, email us at team@beno.one — we'll help you pick a better name.
2. Check your subreddit list
Beno only searches for discussions in the subreddits you've selected — so the more relevant they are, the better the discussions you'll get.
Why this matters: If you're selling a project management tool but only tracking r/funny, Beno won't find relevant conversations. The right subreddits = better quality discussions = more traffic.
Missing important subreddits? Send us the list — we'll add them within a few hours.
3. Review found discussions & comments
Go through the discussions Beno found and the comments it generated.
Ask yourself:
- • Are these discussions relevant?
- • Do the comments sound natural?
- • Is the tone right for your brand?
Step 2. Fine-tune
If the tone or style isn't quite right.
Use Custom Instructions.
Examples:
- • "Keep it under 80 words, casual and helpful"
- • "Focus only on discussions in English"
- • "Only reply to posts about [specific problem]"
- • "More technical tone, mention product name once"
Not sure what to write? Just email us with examples of what you like — we'll set it up for you.
If you see old or irrelevant discussions.
Click "Mark as Irrelevant" to get your credit back.
Important: If your topic is very popular, Beno might find too many discussions and burn through credits quickly.
Step 3. Understand Your Posting Options
Before you start posting, it's important to understand the difference between account types.
Low-karma accounts (1 credit per comment)
- ✓ Fast — posts within 30 minutes
- ✓ Cheap — perfect for testing and volume
- ✗ Higher removal risk — new accounts get filtered more often
- ✗ Shorter lifespan — comments often disappear within days
High-karma accounts (15 credits per comment)
We use this for our projects
- ✓ 3-5x higher survival rate
- ✓ Stay live much longer — weeks or even months
- ✓ Better for SEO — long-term organic traffic
- ✓ Trusted by Reddit — less likely to be filtered by mods
- ✓ Better for acquiring users overall
- ⏱️ Slower — usually posts within 24 hours
Our recommendation
Even if you're on a budget, use - they just work better for almost all our clients.
Think of it this way:
• Low-karma = Handing out flyers that get thrown away the next day
• High-karma = Getting featured in an article people keep coming back to
The 15-credit investment pays off when the comment drives traffic for weeks instead of hours.
Step 4. Ready to Go? Turn on Auto-posting
Once you've reviewed everything and you're happy with:
- ✓ Project name
- ✓ Subreddit list
- ✓ Comment quality and tone
- ✓ Your posting strategy
Enable Auto-Posting in your Project Settings
Beno will automatically publish approved comments for you — no manual work needed.
